Oshkosh AirVenture 2014

We made it to Oshkosh!  My wife and I flew our Sonex into Oshkosh AirVenture for the first time today.  We were hoping to have came in yesterday but had to stay the night in Kirksville MO due to poor weather.  This is was the first flight my wife had made in my newly built Sonex. We had a great time together and made some great memories!  We are getting settled in our tent and looking forward to a great week at Oshkosh. 

Sonex 367 Flight to Turkey Mountain MO00

July 5th, 2014 - Today I made my first grass strip landing in my Sonex at a little private air strip in Shell Knob, MO MO00.  The airport is next to Table Rock Lake and has a 3900 ft runway.   I met a couple very friendly gentlemen who were working on a Kitfox that was on floats.  This Kitfox looked like it would be a lot of fun to land on the lake.  Had a great flight today and my little Sonex like the grass.

Oshkosh AirVenture 2014 here we come!

This is a photo I took a couple days ago after I finish getting the plane ready for her first trip to Oshkosh.  I installed the wheel pants, llanding light, and changed the oil.  I can't wait to make this trip!
