These R/C were equipped with real jet engines that flew on JetA fuel with top speeds over 200 mph. We had a wonderful time and a great lunch. We met some great guys and they hope to make this an annual event. 150 student from the local school came out to learn about the model jets and see them perform. What a cool air show!

2016 Mid-West Sonex Fly-In
I had a great time at the MidWest Sonex fly-in this year! I attended a few times in the past, but this was my first year to fly my Sonex to it. The fly-in was postponed to Sunday due to weather. I flew in late Saturday afternoon and Bob Mika was kind enough to let me stay at his house for the night. We got up at 5:30am went on a dounut run and flew his plane over to Gardner KS airport for the fly-in. Weather could not have been better. There was a total of 5 Sonex aircraft show up for the fly-in. We had a wonderful time talking Sonex aircraft and seeing all our Sonex friends we have met over the years.
